Hourfair records what you actually did in your browser and turns it into a timesheet and an invoice. There is no timer to start, and nothing to remember.
A payment method is required to start. You are not charged for 14 days, then it is USD 9 a month unless you cancel first. Cancelling takes one click and can be done at any time.
Why fourteen days, and why a card
This product makes one claim: it records your hours by itself, accurately, without you pressing anything. That claim cannot be shown in a screenshot or a video — it can only be shown by time passing. Two weeks is how long it takes to see your own week appear without you having done anything.
The card is asked for up front because there is no free tier to fall back into. We would rather be clear about that on the first screen than let you find out on day fifteen.
Exactly what is recorded
Written plainly, because you should not have to read a privacy policy to know what a tool on your own computer is doing.

- When it started and when it ended

- Screenshots — not now, not as an option, not ever
- Keystrokes, mouse movement, or webcam
- Page addresses, form contents, or anything you type
- What you search for — on a results page we keep only the site name
- Anything on a site in your ignore-list
97 banking, health, government, messaging, dating and password-manager sites are ignored from the moment you install, before you configure anything. You can add your own, and you can erase everything Hourfair has ever recorded with one button.
This is not employee monitoring. There is no manager view, no team dashboard, and no way for anyone else to watch you. It is your own record of your own work, and we are not building the other thing.

If you stop paying, nothing is deleted. Your hours and invoices stay exactly where they are, and you can still download all of it — a record of work you did is not something to hold over you. Tracked hours are removed only after twelve months of an inactive subscription, and only after we have emailed you and given you at least thirty days.
